Smart Vents can save flooded property

Randy Compton is ready to show you the custom Smart Vent service difference.
Architects, builders, code officials and homeowners are all turning to Smart Vent automatic foundation flood vents to protect homes from the devastation and destruction that a hurricane, flood or other natural disaster can cause. Smart Vent's foundation flood vent is uniquely designed to provide both flood protection and ventilation in these instances, and is the only vent certified to meet FEMA and NFIP requirements for all homes or buildings located in a floodplain.

The Smart Vent door is latched closed until flood water enters. The water lifts the patented internal floats that then unlatch and rotate the door open, allowing the flood water to automatically enter and exit through the frame opening, and relieving the hydrostatic pressure from your foundation walls. A bimetal coil automatically opens and closes the ventilation louvers as outside temperature changes, providing natural ventilation.

The Smart Vent foundation flood vent features include all-stainless steel construction that meets or exceeds flood and corrosion resistance code requirements, easy-to-clean stainless steel mesh screens that keep unwanted pests from invading, and weather-stripped insulated doors that minimize heat and air conditioning loss.

Each Smart Vent protects 200 square feet of area below the base flood elevation, thusrequiring twothirds fewer vents than any other vent on the market, which preserves the aesthetic beauty of a home.

Since the year 2000, Smart Vent has dedicated itself to ensuring that its customers get great value from using its products. It is more than just providing products that meet and exceed the building code requirements and the NFIP Flood Insurance Regulations; it is about educating Smart Vent's customers about the flood mitigation regulations, flood insurance rates and ever-changing building codes.

To this end, the Smart Vent Technical Team is trained and certified as Floodplain Managers (CFM). When speaking with a CFM, you can be assured that the person on the other end of the phone or standing on your job site knows what he is talking about. Smart Vent knows that you value good products, but good advice from a professional is invaluable.
