New unofficial club shares recipe ideas

Completely bored with cooking? Tired of looking through old magazines for something that sounds interesting?

Susan Nitterauer is and she contacted numerous local ladies and her community paper to see if sharing quick and delicious recipes could help her and all the other cooks out there.

The result is this column in Gulf Breeze News - and opportunity to share ideas and lighten the load for everyone!

"I was thinking that I might see if I could get my girlfriends to help me out," Nitterauer explains. "Got a a good recipe that's your old standby? Found something that is just TO DIE FOR? Let's start a recipe swap - just entree stuff."

Come on! Share your recipes with all of us by sending your favorite standby to vici@gulfbreezenews. com. We are thinking of something a little nicer than chicken nuggets but not a lot of labor - just love! Cooking just might be fun again...

The very first recipe in reponse to Susan's invitation was a quickie from Betsy Nolan:

BETSY'S EASY SLOW COOKER POT ROAST 1 chuck roast Pack of pot roast seasoning from mccormick (or a package of lipton onion soup mix) Carrots New potatoes One large onion 1 can soda for the liquid (any kind -grape, diet dr. pepper - any!!!) Cook all the ingredients on low in a slow cooker all day.

"This is really a favorite of all my boys! A quick one...slow cooker pot roast is so easy and always good!" Betsy says.
