GB News subscriptions could pave the way
Some people got a two-week warning; others only got a few days to pull together the money to pay for such a trip. You can't begin fundraising until you know whether your team qualifies for such an honor. Fortunately, there are sponsors willing to give money to the cause, but another team may have already tapped that source. If that's the case, it's time to whip out the plastic and pray you aren't at your credit limit. Like most businesses, Gulf Breeze News is approached regularly for donations to one cause or another. And like most businesses, we have to be selective. While we may want to give to every cute middle schooler who got a chance to travel to Australia or each beauty queen who needs tiara money, there is unfortunately a limit to what we can spare. That's why, several years ago, we decided to give groups the opportunity to earn money by selling subscriptions to Gulf Breeze News. If an organization will register with us, we will give them a form that states that $5 out of a $30 subscription is going to be rebated to the organization. You may have seen this form at the recent Tiger Point Park soccer registration, or at a ladies' club meeting. Most groups have members who want to subscribe anyway, to read the coverage of their teams or groups, and the team or group will get the $5 credit for it as well. It's a win-win for your team, so contact us at 932-8986 if you'd like to register your group for the Gulf Breeze News subscription fundraiser. |
