PATRICK "PAT" M. HUGHES
1954-2007

Patrick "Pat" M. Hughes, a loving father, papa, brother and friend, died unexpectedly on July 22, 2007.

He was born August 3, 1954 in Utica, N Y, son of the late Jean Loughlin & Robert F. Hughes, and raised in Waterville, NY. He loved his family more than anything in the world and supported them in all their endeavors. His favorite pastimes were coaching basketball at St. Ann's and baseball at the Gulf Breeze recreation center. He loved playing with his grandchildren and kept them very dear to his heart. You were sure to see that twinkle in his eye anytime he was near or thinking of them. He was the party planner for weekly Sunday family gatherings. He loved fishing and spending time at the beach. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the VFW 4407.

Survivors include his sons, Robert and Chris Hughes of Gulf Breeze and Jeremy Nelson of St. Louis; daughters, Mindy Beckley of Pace, Tiffany Langham of Pensacola and Danielle Nelson of Gulf Breeze; grandchildren, Caitlyn & Mackenzie Beckley, Gabrielle and William Langham, Destiny, Nathan and Troy Nelson; brothers, Charlie Hughes of Waterville, NY and Andrew Hughes of New Hartford, CT; sisters, Coleen Huggins of Waterville, NY and Suzanne Hughes of Summerville, SC; and his beloved dog, Fritz.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze with Msgr. Luke Hunt Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charlie, Andrew, and Craig Hughes, Robbie Schaff, Tim Sise, Ryan Bolster, Jeff Dykes and Heath Hardy.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, 100 Daniel Dr., Gulf Breeze, FL32561.
