CALVIN COOLIDGE FOUST
1926 - 2007

Calvin Coolidge Foust, age 80, of Gulf Breeze passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007 at a local health facility.

Mr. Foust has been a resident of Santa Rosa County since 1946 after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. Mr. Foust was a proud United States veteran who served his country during WWII aboard the USS Randolph (CV 15) and received: American Area Campaign Medal; Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medal (2 Stars); Philippine Liberation Ribbon; and the Victory Medal.

After his discharge from the Navy, Mr. Foust continued to serve his country as foreman of the Naval Air Rework Facility aboard NAS Pensacola for over 38 years. Mr. Foust was also a founding life member of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. He was a member of East Hill Baptist Church and in the words of his family, "loved electronics, working in his yard, bowling and watching T.V."

Mr. Foust is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Effie Foust; three sons, Robert Foust, Richard Foust (Susan) and James Hallford (Mollie); one daughter, Michelle Foust; six sisters, Rita Foust, Billie Leon, Stella Peterson, Linda Brew, Jaunita Ebbing and Bettye Johnson (Lavoy); four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:15 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the Lewis Funeral Home Navarre Chapel with the Rev. Steve Winton officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10:15 a.m. until services begin at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
