GBSA 10's go 2-2 at state tournament

You win two, you lose two The GBSA U10 All Stars went 2- 2 in the recent Dizzy Dean State Tournament in Lynn Haven. Players include (not in order) Riley Nolan, Jacob Kubik, Troy Stringfellow, Mitchell Robbins, Garner Curington, Nick Henry, Zak Dobar, Peyton Hoover, Sam Covell, and Cole Brown. The GBSA 10 year old All Stars went 2- 2 at their Dizzy Dean State Tournament in Lynn Haven. Gulf Breeze finished fourth in the tournament.

Grand Ridge 9, Gulf Breeze 6

Gulf Breeze couldn't hold a 6-0 lead as Grand Ridge scored two in the third and fourth and five in the fifth in their opener.

Peyton Hoover hit a two-run triple in Gulf Breeze's three-run first inning, while Troy Stringfellow and Mitchell Robbins added an RBI double and single, respectively in a three-run third.

Zak Dobar went 2-for-3, while Jacob Kubik scored twice. Robbins struck out six and threw no-hit ball over the first three innings.

Gulf Breeze 12, Crestview 2

Robbins hit a three-run homer and had five RBIs, while Stringfellow doubled twice and scored three times as Gulf Breeze jumped out to a 7-0 second inning lead to stay alive in the losers bracket.

Kubik went 2-for-3 and scored three times, while Riley Nolan went 2-for-3 and scored once. Dobar struck out six in the first three innings.

Gulf Breeze 18, Levy Park 2

Robbins homered twice, including a grand slam, and drove in seven, while Cole Brown added a solo homer in a win over Tallahassee's Levy Park.

Robbins hit both of his homers in Gulf Breeze's 12-run first inning. Brown homered in the second inning.

Stringfellow doubled and scored three times, while Nolan and Kubik both singled and scored three times. Hoover scored twice in the win.

Garner Curington was the winning pitcher.

Bill Bond 10, Gulf Breeze 3

Gulf Breeze led 2-1 after a half inning before Bill Bond scored one in the first, five in the second and four in the third.

Stringfellow hit a two-run homer, while Robbins went 3-for-3 and scored twice. Nick Henry, Curington, Brown and Sam Covell all had hits in the loss.
