Holy Trinity hosts Health Fair

The Holy Trinity Health Fair will Friday, July 27 from 9a.m. to noon at Holy Trinity Church located at 609 North Alcaniz and Jackson in Pensacola. The fair will include free heart risk assessments, blood pressure screenings, diabetes screenings, blood glucose screenings and information about respiratory care, dental health, cancer and drug and alcohol Abuse.

The fair will also feature free immunizations for children with current shot records.

Give sunscreen to troops in Iraq

Monica Green, a local independent sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics is participating in a summer-long project called OPERATION: Sunscreen. The goal of this project is to purchase sunscreen and skin protection products for troops deployed in the Middle East.

OPERATION: Sunscreen is an effort to give back to those families and protect the troops who work so hard to protect us. Green is looking for individuals and businesses who are willing to donate funds and partner with her in this worthy project. OPERATION: Sunscreen will continue through Labor Day. Current local sponsors include Studer Group, Jeweler's Trade Shop and Total Employee Leasing.

Hope Medical announces new physician

This month, Hope Medical Group further positioned the practice as a leader in the hematology and oncology field with the addition of Dr. Klaus Hollmig. Dr. Hollmig joins the team with a unique expertise in the area of Multiple Myeloma and Bone Marrow Transplant.

Hollmig now holds a position as adjunct assistant Professor of Medicine at the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy in Arkansas. Dr. Hollmig will provide hematology and oncology services at Hope Medical Group's offices on North "E" Street and 9th Avenue. New patients and referrals are welcome.
