Upcoming at GBUMC

The Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church Wednesday Senior (and not so senior!) Bible Study Group invites anyone who would like to join them for a 4-week study of Paul's letter to the Galatians starting August 1st at 10 a.m. Led by Ruth Knights, this is an in-depth study of Paul's letter to the Romans. Then meet with the Lunch Bunch at 11 behind the Sanctuary and travel to a local area restaurant to enjoy fun, food and fellowship. Dutch treat, so no reservation is needed. The Community Life Center (Soundside Drive at Highway 98) will hot the Leadership Summit on August 9 thru 11. Speakers this year include Bill Hybels, John Ortberg, Colin Powell, and President Jimmy Carter. You can register today at the Church Office at the Main Campus (932-3594) or the Welcome Desk at the Community Life Center (916- 1660). Summit hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Community Cup Café offers specialty coffees, shakes, smoothies, FREE wireless internet access at the Community Life Center. Morning hours are 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday. Evening house are Wednesday and Saturday from 5 to 7 p.. Closed Fridays. Calvary Chapel hosts beach baptism

The next beach baptism is scheduled for Sunday, August 5 at Pensacola Beach. Join Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze at Park East beginning at 5 pm for worship, a baptismal service and great fellowship. Bring your own picnic and plan staying for sunset. If you would like to follow the Lord in believers baptism, please call the church office at 850- 932-8197.

Acolytes needed

Is your child eager to be of service to the Lord and to his or her church home? St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze needs acolytes.

Serving as an acolyte is an honor and a joy to them. Whether new to this service or desiring a "refresher" course, please contact Faith Ellisor at 850-932-8002 to sign your child up for Acolyte Training.
