While You Were Away

Meg Peltier, Executive Director of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce was able to obtain 100 of the "While You Were Away" books for the children of the deployed families at the USO picnic in September. The Gulf Breeze Chamber had bought 100 books that have already been distributed to the Navy's Fleet and Family Services. But, Meg obtained another 100 that were donated by the Cantonment Rotary Club! Churches and other organizations may want to buy more books. If so they can put their labels on the inside cover. The books cost $5.25 each.

The book "While You were Away" by Eileen Spinelli and Renee Graef was written for the children of the deployed families. The Gulf Breeze Chamber of commerce will donate 200 copies of the books to the children of deployed service members.
Meg says, "My contact is: Mike Denkler, Merrill Lynch in Pensacola. His direct line number is 850-434-7020. Churches may feel free to contact him if they would like to purchase more books." The books are really special.
