Find a detective adventure at the library
Sherlock Holmes, of course! If you are a student in middle or high school, come to the Sherlock Holmes program on Tuesday, July 31, at 6:30 p.m. at Milton or Navarre Library or Thursday, August 2 at Jay or Gulf Breeze Library at 6:30 p.m. The program will feature a 25-minute Sherlock Holmes film adaptation and a trivia game to test your knowledge of the greatest detective of all, Sherlock Holmes. Before you come, brush up on "all things Sherlock," including his life, Watson and his other friends, his methods, his cases, and his villains. You can read Arthur Conan Doyle's stories or review web sites to get ready. Check out http://221bakerstreet. org or the Sherlock Holmes museum Web site at www.sherlock-holmes.co.uk. Dress as Sherlock Holmes or Dr. Watson and bring your reading record for a chance to win a ticket to Oops Alley or Tiki Island Golf and Games and earbuds. The more details you incorporate into your costume (such as a deerstalker hat, pipe, and magnifying glass for Sherlock), the better you will be judged. To participate in YNK @ Your Library, register at http://www.santarosa. fl.gov/libraries. |
