Singing His praise
Kate Keenan, Callie Neumann and other participants enjoy the praise music of Showtime Roundup each afternoon during Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church (GBUMC). Over 1,000 children attended VBS between both campuses. Two truckloads were collected of baby supplies for the Lakota mission, as children brought in supplies as offerings. Thirty seniors, 50 adult volunteers closed their businesses or took vacation time to work for the week. GBUMC officials said VBS is an outreach -- easily half of the children who attended were not members, and numerous volunteers were not church members. Another trend noted is the increase in male adult volunteers over last year's volunteers.
