Dolphins snap skid, roll past Washington 10-1
The Dolphins jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead. Kris Matsoukas and T.J. Jordan both had two hits, with one of Matsoukas' being a triple. He scored once, while Jordan scored twice. Shane Dorlag and Cody Warford both scored twice, while Kyle Schnackenberg, Patrick Vance and Mark Waghalter all scored once. Waghalter, Corey Downs and Brandon Scott combined on a two-hitter, with Scott striking out five over the last two innings. Washington 7, Dolphins 2: The Wildcats scored all seven of its runs in the first inning to win game one of the doubleheader. Gulf Breeze scored both of its runs in the sixth inning - one on a solo homer by Scott and the other by a single by Dane Monnin. Downs, who went 2- for-3, doubled and scored on the Monnin single. Dorlag's single in the third and Trey Pfeiffer's single in the fifth were the team's only other hits. Tate 15, Dolphins 3: Gulf Breeze led 3-0 after a half inning before the Aggies erupted with at least two runs in five of the six innings they batted in.
Jordan and Warford both had two hits, while Dorlag and Matsoukas both had one hit. Dolphin JV 6, Tate 5: Adam Gary scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh to beat Tate at home June 25. Tyler McGee doubled twice, scored once and drove in a run, while Trey Davis, the Dolphins' third pitcher of the game, picked up the win. Dolphins 6, Tate 6: McGee's two-out single scored Gary to salvage a tie with the Aggies in game one of the doubleheader. McGee and Thomas Dorsey both had two hits, while Tyler Boylan scored twice. Dolphins 3, Navarre 3: Cruz Lee's RBI single scored Boylan as the Dolphins salvaged a tie with Navarre. The Raiders left the bases loaded in the seventh inning. Boylan went 2-for-3 with a double and scored once. Dolphins 2, West Florida Tech 2: The Dolphins couldn't hold an early lead as the the Jags scored two in the fifth inning June 11. Riley Monahan and Dorsey both scored in the game. Ben Lively struck out three in five innings. Dolphins 7, West Florida Tech 5: Gulf Breeze scored five in the first inning to rally from a 3-0 deficit in game one. Nicky Schumacher, Stephen Robbins and McGee all had two hits in the win. Boylan and Gary both doubled once, while Lively scored once. Alex Ball pitched three innings, while Trey Davis got the save. Milton JV 7, Dolphins 3: The Panthers scored three in the first and third innings to salvage a split with Gulf Breeze. McGee went 2-for-3 and scored once, while Ball singled and scored once. Gary scored the other run, while Alec Purser and Lee both had base hits. Dolphins 10, Milton 3: Lively pitched four innings of relief, striking out five, to get the win for the Dolphins in game one. Dorsey had two hits, including a triple, and scored twice, while Boylan singled, doubled and scored once. Robbins singled and scored twice, while Ball scored twice. Dolphins 6, Baton Rouge 4: McGee got the win for the Dolphins, their first of the summer on June 1. Josh Suelflow had two hits and scored once, while Robbins, Ball, Colby Brown and Dorsey all singled and scored once. Dolphins 2, Baton Rouge 2: Nick Humphrey walked and scored the tying run for the Dolphins in the opener. Suelflow scored the other runs, while Robyn Hoffpauir and Brown had the team's only hits. |
