Modern headlines equate to great joke material

Now is a great time to be a comedian, because we live in such interesting times.

For starters, there are a handful of celebrities having "blonde moments" and generally being obnoxious - intentionally or not. I don't mean to insult all "blondes" with such a broad generalization, but you know the types I'm referring to. I don't even have to mention a certain hotel heiress by name and most people not living in a cave or a mud hut somewhere will know which hair-brained jail bird I'm talking about.

Aside from those born with a silver spoon, there are those with money who are just plain absent minded.

For example, take Cameron Diaz' recent faux pas in Peru. Diaz purchased a fashionable handbag in China that was emblazoned with communist propaganda in a language she did not speak. During Diaz' vacation to Peru the trendy accessory offended Peruvians whose families were killed by communist insurgents during the 1980's and 1990's. News agencies reported nearly 70,000 people were killed during the insurgency.

Diaz and Hilton are great comedic material.
