The Medical Educational Council of Pensacola (MECOP), accredited by the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), grants approval to continuing education organizations which provide continuing medical education (CME) to physicians, physician assistants, advanced nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals. MECOP works closely with physician directors from local, regional and national healthcare organizations to coordinate CME activities, such as grand rounds, tumor boards, quality improvement committees, home studies, live conferences and other physician education needs. MECOP was incorporated in 1986 as a non-profit business to help provide physician learning activities to change attitudes/behavior, increase knowledge and skills to provide improved patient outcomes. Sacred Heart welcomes fetal specialist Dobak Sacred Heart Medical Group is pleased to announce that Dr. William Dobak, a maternalfetal medicine specialist, has joined the practice of Dr. James Thorp at the Sacred Heart Regional Perinatal Center. Dr. Dobak received his medical degree at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Akron, Ohio. He completed both his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Summa Health System/Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Akron, Ohio, where he served as chief resident and a clinical instructor. Dr. Dobak recently completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. |
