First Baptist plans Christian day care program First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze, 555 Fairpoint Drive, announce plans for opening a Christian daycare program! Our goal is to open August 15. If you are interested, please email admin@fbcgulfbreeze.com. GBUMC plans summer camps and more The Gulf Breeze United Methodist church offers several opportunities for Summer Camps. At the East Campus Community Life Center (Soundside Drive at Highway 98), Summer Camp is held Monday through Friday through August 17 for those entering K through entering 7th grade. . In other GBUMC news: The Children's Ministry at the CLC also offers "Great Adventure," a summer overnight camp at Blue Lake July 8-12 for rising 4th graders through rising 6th graders. The Senior Adult Ministries continue to be active during the summer months. Each Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in Room 7 of the Main Campus, there is a Senior Adult Bible Study led by Pastor Ruth Knights. At 11 a.m., the "Lunch Bunch" meets to travel to a local area restaurant to enjoy fun, food and fellowship, Dutch Treat. They also attend the "Music In The Park" on Thursday evenings. Activities planned for the future are a trip to Farmer's Opry in Chumuckla, the National Weather Serving in Mobile, and Turtle Point Research Center. This group meets the second and fourth Thursday and is open to all women who would like to share praises and prayers to God. For more information, contact Beth at 934-2676. Looking ahead, there will be a Celebration Picnic on Sunday, July 1, 5:30 p.m. on the Main Campus (75 Fairpoint Drive). Hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings will be furnished. You are asked to bring a salad or dessert to share. At 7 p.m., there will be a "God Bless America Patriotic Concert" with orchestra in the Sanctuary.
