TP U16s takes third at All Star tournament
Printiss throws nohitter in Tiger Point U-10 win

The Tiger Point U16 All Star softball team recently took third place at the Northwest Florida Girls Softball Alliance's postseason tournament in Perdido.

Tiger Point was the only team to defeat the eventual champion Northeast Pensacola in the tournament. NEP would avenge that loss by eliminating Tiger Point 7-0 before beating Gulf Breeze twice to win the crown.

Tiger Point 2, NEP 1: Meredith Chavers' RBI double in the sixth inning scored Lauren Osburn as Tiger Point rallied to beat NEP. Chavers also drove in the team's first run on a sacrifice fly. Katey Barger singled and scored on the sac fly.

Rebekah Pyle had the team's only other hit - a single in the second inning.

Tiger Point 5, Myrtle Grove 0: Osburn struck out four and allowed only five hits as Tiger Point shut out Myrtle Grove June 2.

Kellie Krueger scored twice, as did Osburn. Katey Barger, Krissy Barger and Osburn all had two hits in the win.

Tiger Point 8, Navarre 5: Tiger Point rallied from a 4-2 first inning deficit with two in the second and four in the third to beat Navarre June 2.

Osburn, Chavers and Krissy Barger all had two hits in the win, while Pyle and Krissy Barger both scored twice.

Both the Tiger Point U10 and Gulf Breeze U8 teams took fourth place in their respective divisions.

Tiger Point, after winning its first two games, won one in the losers bracket before being eliminated by Pace.

Tiger Point 4, Cantonment 1: Olivia Printiss struck out 11 as Tiger Point scored four in the fourth to beat Cantonment June 2.

Meg Simpson, Sydney Ezelle, Kayla Carroll and Jenny Watts all scored runs in the victory.

Tiger Point 6, Navarre 3: Tiger Point had to hold off a late inning rally from Navarre to win their second round game Saturday.

Becky Schramm doubled and scored twice, while Watts singled and scored once. Printiss had a base hit in the win, while Jayme Arnold and Kelly Barnhill both scored once.

Myrtle Grove 11, Tiger Point 0: Ezelle (walk in first) and Schramm (hit by pitch in third) were Tiger Point's only baserunners in the loss to Myrtle Grove June 4.

Tiger Point 7, Cantonment 2: Printiss threw a no-hitter and struck out nine to lead Tiger Point to a win in the losers bracket June 5.

Carroll singled and scored in the win, as did Schramm. Lydia Ellington tripled and scored in the win, while Simpson, Watts, Arnold and Destini Ferraro all scored runs.

Pace 16, Tiger Point 1: Schramm walked and scored on a bases loaded walk to Olivia Fry for the lone run in a loss to Pace June 6.

Arnold's infield single in the third was the team's only hit, while Barnhill's third inning walk was the team's only other baserunner.

Gulf Breeze 20, Cantonment 1: Kiersten Edlund had four hits, while Megan Hawkins, Frances Williams, Ashley Cecil, Sydney Wright, Madison Patrick and Reagan Raley had three hits each in a win June 2.

Alyssa Scott, Madison Scifo and Sam Karcher had two hits each for Gulf Breeze.

Navarre 18, Gulf Breeze 7: Scott had three hits, including a triple, and scored twice in a loss to Navarre June 2. Hawkins doubled twice and scored twice, while Edlund, Wright, Patrick and Karcher all had two singles each.

Gulf Breeze 16, Tiger Point 14: Gulf Breeze needed a three run sixth inning to stay alive in the losers bracket June 4.

Scott and Wright had four hits and scored twice, while Hawkins, Williams, Cecil, Scifo and Karcher all had three hits. Edlund, Patrick, Reagan Raley and Mary Elliott had two hits each.

Gulf Breeze 17, Myrtle Grove 2: Scott had three hits and scored twice as Gulf Breeze blew out Myrtle Grove June 5.

Hawkins, Williams, Edlund, Wright and Raley all had two hits each. Rachel Greer, Cecil and Patrick all had two hits.

NEP 12, Gulf Breeze 0: GBSA was held to only four hits - singles by Hawkins, Cecil, Patrick and Scifo - in a loss to NEP.

U12s

Gulf Breeze won two games in the losers bracket before getting eliminated by Myrtle Grove.

Navarre 8, Gulf Breeze 5: Navarre scored two in the first, three in the second and two in the third to beat Gulf Breeze in their opener June 2.

Caitlin Sacco and Allison Proctor both singled and scored, while Ashley Clark and Kaitlyn Gifford were both hit by pitches and scored. Alex Karcher drew a base on balls and came in to score in the loss.

Gulf Breeze 11, Gulf Shores 1: Sacco had three hits, including a double, and scored three times to lead Gulf Breeze to a losers bracket win June 3.

Proctor scored twice and had a base hit, while Caitlin Chapman, Bailey Clements and Emily Lively all had a single and scored in the win.

Gulf Breeze 12, Cantonment 5: Sacco, Chapman, Sara Spillers, Abbey Olsen and Clements all had two hits in a win over Cantonment on June June 3.

Both of Clements' hits were doubles, while Proctor had an RBI triple and scored twice.

Myrtle Grove 12, Gulf Breeze 5: Myrtle Grove scored four runs with two outs in the bottom of the third to pull away from Gulf Breeze June 4.

Sacco scored twice, while Spillers and Ally Hurd both scored once. Clements went 2- for-2 with a double and scored once in the loss.
