Little Sabine Bay project gets funding
The Northwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board awarded a $375,000 Florida Forever capital improvement grant to the Santa Rosa Island Authority for a project that will improve circulation and water quality in Little Sabine Bay. This grant will help match $1 million in local funding and another $1 million in state funding contributed toward this project. The grant will go toward funding the design and construction of intake and discharge structures, pumps and piping to improve circulation in the bay, which is part of the Santa Rosa Rosa Sound and the larger Pensacola Bay estuary.
