Many attend Midsummer Party at St. Francis

Hundreds turned out Saturday night to have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items at the third annual Midsummer Night Party at St. Francis of Assisi. Episcopal Church.

Entrance included wine and hors d'oeurves at the church, which is located at the eastern entrance of Plantation Hill subdivision, just across the street from the new Andrews Institute. Tables laden with auction items crowded the parish hall

Organizers amassed various and sundry silent auction items, ranging from fine art to antiques, bicycles and vacation trips. Lucky bidders had the opportunity to bid on gift certificates to area restaurants, hotel stays, rare jewelry and furniture items.

The count is not in yet, but organizers believe they exceeded their goal for the event, the proceeds of which will go to local charities.

Previously, the event helped the Santa Rosa Kids House, Hospice, Wilmer Hall, Good Samaritan Clinic, and Interfaith Ministries, to name a few.
