Boy Scouts pass on good Karma to Japanese Garden
Boy Scouts Troop 11, pictured above with ZOO employees and volunteers, gave a helping hand to The ZOO of Northwest Florida April 28. Joseph Segars hot help with his Eagle SCout Service Project from his troop. The Boy Scouts removed dead trees from the Japanese Meditation Garden, which had previously been closed since Hurricane Ivan. The project took a total of 153 hours with help from 36 people to help the ZOO get ready for the garden's reopening. A special thanks goes out to Johnnie and Charlie Green and ZOO employees Ursala Steeley, Curtis Bass and Chris Whitman.
