JUNE IRENE (BUMGARNER) TRIVETT June Trivett, age 73 of Pensacola, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, June 1, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church and was retired from Sacred Heart Hospital, where she worked in labor and delivery for 15 years. She had also worked at Carter County Memorial Hospital in Elizabethton, Tenn., for a number of years. June was born in Banner Elk, N.C. to Ray and Lorena Warner Bumgarner. She and her family lived in Newland, N.C., and Elizabethton, Tenn. before moving to Pensacola in 1982. She was preceded in death by a precious daughter, Gladys Willis, her parents and a brother, Jerry Bumgarner. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Vernon; her children and their spouses: Carol and Gene Britton of Wylie, Texas, Larry and Terri Trivett of Gulf Breeze, and Scott and Engie Trivett of Johnson City, Tenn.; three granddaughters: Amanda Trivett, Tallahassee; Jennifer Trivett, Tampa; and Haley Trivett, Johnson City, Tenn.; and one grandson, Joshua Willis, Johnson City, Tenn., along with her sisters, Helen McRae, Sue Crawford, Lois Buck, and Carolyn Harris; her brother, Homer Bumgarner, and many nieces and nephews. We were blessed to have such a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister to share our lives with. June was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and an accomplished seamstress and cook. She enjoyed working with the Cookie Outreach Ministry at East Brent Baptist Church. She also was the unofficial baker for her granddaughter, Jennifer's Gulf Breeze High School drama team. Her husband's friends from his Army days knew that on baking days, June's kitchen was the place to be. Faith Chapel South Funeral Home in Pensacola is in charge of arrangements. The family received friends at Faith Chapel South Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway on June 4. A celebration of her life was held at East Brent Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 5 with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Music was under the direction of Marc Greene. Internment followed at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola. Pallbearers were Jim Butler, Bobby Graham, Melvin Marshall, Don McVay, Mark Paul, and Ensor Kimbro.
