JOAN ANITA BARBA Joan Anita Barba, of Gulf Breeze, died peacefully in her home on May 16, 2007, short of her 96th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas A. Barba, developer of Santa Rosa Shores and Tiger Point Village & Country Club. Mrs. Barba was born in Italy, grew up in Rochester, NY, one of eight children. The Matriarch of the Barba family leaves behind two daughters, one son, nine grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren and three surviving sisters to cherish her legacy of family. A memorial mass was celebrated on June 9, at Holy Cross Mausoleum, with Fr. James Venezuela, celebrant. Flowers are gratefully declined.
