Burn still in effect for area until conditions approve

The Division of Forestry issued burn authorizations to farmers only last week. This will be for wheat field burning only. Fields must have an on site inspection prior to authorization, heavy equipment present and the Division of Forestry will have a fire suppression unit standing by.

The burn ban is still in effect for all others.

The ban prohibits open burning, to include but not limited to campfires, wildfires, bonfires, trash burning and other similar forms of incineration.
