Mediacom, On Demand launch local high school programming

An exciting advanced digital service offered by Mediacom Communications called On Demand will be offered to Santa Rosa County High Schools for an opportunity to air local information relevant to the Santa Rosa County High Schools.

All videos are produced by the ITV high school students. Santa Rosa County High Schools will be the inaugural schools in Mediacom's South Central service area using this new technology for local programming. The schools participating to date are: Gulf Breeze High School, Navarre High School, Milton High School and Pace High School.

Mediacom On Demand allows Santa Rosa County customers with a digital converter to instantly watch school principal's message, sports programs, scholarship information and other school news and events with convenience and control.

On Demand programming customers can start, stop, rewind, fast-forward and pause programs without a VCR or DVD player.

To access the Santa Rosa County High School programs, tune to Channel 001, go to Mediacom Local category, press OK and select Santa Rosa category, then name of the high school and press OK.

According to Regional Vice President, David Servies, "This local programming content is not available to satellite dish customers and enhances our partnership commitment with our schools and our community."

Local On Demand is free to all customers with a digital converter and free to the schools for its use.
