GB students clean up at Science Olympiad Nationals

Gulf Breeze middle and high school students excelled in this year's Science Olympiad national competition. The medal count was seven, in three events, as Gulf Breeze Middle and Gulf Breeze High Schools represented Florida at the National Science Olympiad at the Wichita State University (WSU) campus in Kansas Saturday, May 19.

Gulf Breeze Middle School (GBMS) participants: R.J. Burns, Seth Rejda, Nick Bookout, Hunter Bradshaw, Nick Gupta, Nick Musmansky, Vincent Costers Nathan Gupta and Katie McIver, Ryan Burke, Will Spearing, Joey Finelli, Eric Burke, Alyse Tack, Andrew Clark, Chau Ho, Evan Bernard and alternates Sarah Woods and Alex Williams. The GBMS team placed 27th among 60 teams in their division.

The Gulf Breeze High School (GBHS) team included: Ryan Henderson, Ryan Kent, Tiffany Sharar, Jon Villanueva, Colin Burke, Kelsey Campbell, Jake Conner, Will Dirschka, Kyle Finelli, Lauren Musick, Logan Rejda, Megan Schaeffner, Clayton Walden, Stewart Williams, Alex York and alternate Rachel Harvey. The GBHS team placed 40th among the 60 teams in their division.
