Sports Briefs The 32nd Annual Gulf Breeze Optimist Club Fishing Rodeo will be held May 19-20 at Shoreline Park, South in Gulf Breeze. Grand Prize this year is a cash award of $1,000 plus many other prizes. Tickets are $20, available at Gulf Breeze Bait and Tackle, Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier or by calling 932-2734. GBHS Basketball Rummage Sale/Car Wash Saturday The Gulf Breeze High basketball programwill hold a rummage sale and car wash Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon at the high school. The teams will also sell soft drinks and baked goods during the rummage sale. GBSA football, soccer registration underway Registration for the 2007 GBSA football and soccer season is now until May 31. A $10 late fee will be assessed for any participants after that. GBSA soccer is open to kids ages 4-14, while football is open for kids ages 5-14. Registration forms will be available at the Gulf Breeze Rec Center. Dolphin Baseball Camp May 28-31 Dolphin Baseball Camp for ages 7 to 14 will be Monday, May 28 -Thursday, May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Dolphin Baseball Field. Attendees should wear baseball attire (glove, hat, cleats, etc.). Cost is $100 for all four days, or $30 for a single day. Bayside, TP rec soccer tryouts, registration at Tiger Point Park this month The Bayside Soccer Club, as well as Tiger Point's rec soccer program, is holding registrations this month for the 2007 season. Tiger Point rec soccer signups will be at the Tiger Point soccer trailer on Saturday May 12 and 19 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. LSU Tiger Tour 2007 in Pensacola May 23 The LSU Tiger Tour 2007 presented by Capital One, Cox Sports Television and Eagle 98.1 hits the road this year traveling to 13 cities across the southern region. The Pensacola event hosted by the Panhandle Bayou Bengals Alumni Club will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Pensacola Beach. The event will feature appearances by Les Miles, John Brady and other special guests. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. The tour experience includes silent auction items provided by TAF and LSU merchandise for sale from the LSU Alumni Association, as well as dinner and cash bar. GBHS Summer Classic June 7-10 The 17th annual GBHS Summer Baseball Classic is June 7-10 at Shoreline Park. The tournament will feature eight brackets, starting with a 7- under bracket and ending with a 14-under bracket.
