Man dies as result of April 20 traffic crash

A car wreck at the intersection of Highway 98 and Tiger Point Boulevard claimed the life of one of the drivers.

John T. Mullikin, 69 of Gulf Breeze, died May 5 as a result of the traffic crash at 6:55 a.m. April 20.

He was driving a 2001 Chevy Van eastbound on Hwy. 98 in the outside lane when he failed to stop for the red traffic signal, striking a 2003 Isuzu SUV driven by Ozella Andrews, 41 of Gulf Breeze.The impact of the crash forced both vehicles into a counter-clockwise spin into the westbound lanes, and the Isuzu struck a third vehicle, a 1993 Nissan driven by Kristie Mitchell, 49 of Gulf Breeze.

Andrews, Mitchell and a passenger in Mullikin's car, Billie Mullikin, 64, were treated for minor injuries at local hospitals.
