JAMES ROSS WOOD
1916-2007

James Ross Wood, age 90 died May 2, 2007 at a local hospital. His family meant everything to him. Ross was born May 26, 1916 in Clay County, Kan. to James and Pearl Wood.

Survivors include Helen, his wife of 61 years; his children, Ann and Ron Clifford, James and Donna Wood, Thomas and Nancy Wood, and Virginia and Darrel Nelson; grandchildren, Josh Wood, Sarah Wood, Vanessa Buttery, Peter Nelson, and David Nelson; three greatgrandchildren, Kenny, Cooper and Cullen Buttery; sister and brother-in-law, Joy and R.G. Henley; brother-in-law and sister in-law, Bill and Joan Cutler; and sister-in-law, Marian Cutler.

Ross served in the Navy during WWII. After the war, Ross spent his career in sales.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 5, at the Gulf Breeze Methodist Chapel.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gulf Breeze Hospital and a special thanks to Dr Robert Stock, Liz and Carl.
