DOROTHY "DOT" MARIE BOLSTER
1921-2007

Dorothy "Dot" Marie Bolster, 85, left us to be with Our Lord on April 19, 2007, while at home surrounded by her loved ones.

"The Hen & Grandma Moses," as she was so affectionately called, was born in Detroit, MI of September 10, 1921 to Mohammed Zarier Omar and Lucille Agatha Frazier Omar where she lived until moving to California. In 1939, Mom met and married her one and only Keith Allen Bolster and began her career as a proud Navy wife and, ultimately, the mother to her five children "chicks." Mom loved the military life of traveling throughout the U.S. and to Hawaii and Japan. Mom was forever a kid at heart enjoying the fairs, fishing, NASCAR races, dancing and bowling as well as the excitement of the slots and bingo parlors. After Dad's death, Mom moved to Gulf Breeze with her daughter, Michele Peavy and family, where she lived and laughed until her passing.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Clare Heath Orlando and Ceci Mucaria, California; daughters, Joan Whitehead of Pensacola, Sally (Bill) Staples of Waldport, OR, Michele (Mike) Peavy of Gulf Breeze, Mike (Anne) Bolster of Whiteplains, MD, Patrick (Melody) Bolster of Gulf Breeze and Stepson, Allen (Joyce) Bolster of Redmond, WA; and 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mom's courage, devotion and sense of humor that she gave to us all will always be alive. We will miss her.

Private family services are scheduled.
