Publix may sell liquor
Public hearing set for May 21

A request has been made by Moulton Properties, developer of Sea Shell Collections, to allow liquor sales at the Publix grocery store scheduled for construction. A variance hearing has been set for May 21 during the Gulf Breeze Regular City Council Meeting.

City codes do not allow liquor sales from a bar or package store unless it is 2,500 feet from a church or school. Avariance will have to be approved for the liquor store to go in. Those interested in more information on the variance are encouraged to contact Mary Moulton, Vice President of Moulton Properties at 438-5655.
