Non profits must apply for Impact 100 funds IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, a local women's philanthropy group, is accepting Letters of Intent from any nonprofit in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties who is interested in applying for the group's 2007 grants. A Letter of Intent is required to be submitted by each non profit who intends to apply. In 2007, IMPACT 100 will distribute four grants to non profit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, with each grant totaling $118,000. All non profit organizations must submit their Letter of Intent by Monday, April 30. Non profits should go to www.impact100pensacola.com to download the Letter of Intent. Instructions for completion are included there. All non profits in the twocounty area are encouraged to apply for the grant by completing the Letter of Intent. It is the mandatory first step in the grant application process. IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, founded in 2004, with an annual membership of $1,000 per woman, raised $233,000 in its first year, $250,000 in 2005, its second year, $340,000 in 2006, and $472,000 for distribution in 2007. Membership is open to all women. Annual dues of $1,000 are pooled together. Grants are then awarded to non profits in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. There are five focus groups for philanthropy: arts & culture; education; environment, recreation & preservation; family; and health & wellness.
