Goodroe good in 14-0 win in GBSA Rookie League

Serving up a district title? Abby Felkner (above) and Kyle Hooks (below) hit returns in recent GBHS tennis competition. Gulf Breeze competed in the District 1-2A Tournament Monday and Tuesday at UWF.
Reddon McLaurine, Josh Hoffman, Kegan Walker and Jake Herring all scored twice to lead Goodroe to a 14-0 win over Lukkar during week three of GBSA Rookie League action at Shoreline Park.

Miles 15, Owens 6

Grant Kemp scored three times for Miles, while Jacob Brandon, Jesse Grant, Nick McCain and Yianni Whisler all scored twice.

Joseph McPhetridge and Kyler Strange both scored twice for Owens.

Grace 13, Ellis 12

Spencer Grace scored three times in an April 3 win, while Tyler Phelps and Bo Fabbro both scored twice.

Deems Edlund and Luke Ellis both scored twice in the loss.

Hill 15, Ueberschaer 4

Matthew Hawkins and Steele Chamblas both scored three times for Hill on April 3.

Will Cross, Hayden Hill and Max Kirchgessner all scored twice in the win, while Luke Stringfellow, Tristan Riley, Casey Riley and Tristan Covell scored for Ueberschaer.

Daniel Green and Parker Baynes both scored three times for Baynes April 4, while Kyle Muldoon scored twice.

Will Cross homered in the loss, while Max Kirchgessner and Derek Whited both scored twice.

Baynes 13, Grace 7

Daniel Green and Parker Baynes both scored three times for Baynes April 5, while Spencer Grace and Brent Williams both scored twice in the loss.

Minor League

Proctor 7, Gill 4

Riley Nolan and Bradley Proctor both scored twice for Proctor April 2, while George Scifo homered for Gill.

Zane Gill and Jacob Kubik had two hits and scored once in the loss.

Curington 7, Proctor 6

Zak Dobar scored the winning run for Curington April 5 when Brandon Bell was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Jon Leimer scored three times for Curington, while Troy Stringfellow scored twice.

Riley Nolan and Adam Colston scored twice for Proctor.

Major League

Flores 10, Hawthorne 4

Luke Niles, Benji Diaz and Torrey Williams all scored twice for Flores, while Braden Samay and Matt Hawthorne had a hit and a run scored in the loss April 2.

Hawthorne 11, Crooke 4

David Alverson, Michael Neal, Josh Goldstein and Braden Samay all scored twice for Hawthorne April 3, while Austin Droogsma and Ben Davis had two hits each for Crooke.

Baynes 7, Flores 4

Blake Bidwell scored three times for Baynes, while Ryan Burke and Luke Niles had two hits and scored once in a loss on April 3.

Senior League

Tiger Point Braves 6, Burke 5

Brady Monahan and Brandon Silver had two hits and a run scored for the Braves April 3, while Jack Sargent and Alex Meade scored twice for Burke. Trip Rowe had two hits and a run scored for Burke.

Higley 7, Challenor 5

Mark Higley had four hits and three runs scored for Higley, while Brandon Sorenson and Corey Loudon had two hits and scored once.

Taylro Webb had two hits and scored once in the April 5 loss.

Smith 3, Chevillet 1

Chance Winn and Michael Patterson had a hit and a run scored for Smith April 5, while Eric Adams scored for Chevillet.

U-12 softball

Proctor 12, Hurd 4

Allison Proctor scored three times for Proctor, while Grace Mallett scored twice. Abbey Olsen scored twice for Hurd.
