Get stars in your eyes Friday at Fort Pickens

A stargazing event is planned at the entrance to Fort Pickens Area on Friday, April 20 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Weather permitting, volunteers from the Escambia County Amateur Astronomer's Association will set up several telescopes for public viewing.

Gulf Islands National Seashore Superintendent Jerry Eubanks encourages everyone to visit the Seashore to join the free stargazing program.
