LOCAL TV LISTINGS FOR YOUR HOMETOWN NEWSPAPER Thursday 9:01 p.m. on NBC ER: Family. Can't live with 'em, can't ... well, you know. This new episode is chock full of family issues, from the heart-failure patient (guest star Andy Prosky) who leaves his helpless dad (Robert Prosky) in the ER to Abby's and Gates' continuing efforts to adjust to parenthood. Friday 7 p.m. on FOX House: Cameron and Chase (Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer) hooked up in a later season, so this older episode will feel like a flashback, as House (Hugh Laurie) and the recently returned Cameron finally confront the issue that drove Cameron to leave the hospital: her feelings for him. 8 p.m. on CBS Close to Home: As the old song says, this could be the start of something big. In "Deacon," Annabeth (Jennifer Finnigan) investigates a woman for destroying evidence in a murder and learns that the suspect told someone her dad - a law enforcement officer and a deacon in his church - is the killer. Saturday 7 p.m. on ABC Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: When so many beloved books get butchered on the screen, it's hard to understand the critics who panned the first Potter flick for being too true to author J.K. Rowling's work. Staying true to the book is a good thing! And nobody's complaining about Daniel Radcliffe's excellent portrayal of the titular boy wizard. Sunday 7 p.m. on ESPN MLB Baseball: Is there a better, more intense rivalry in all of sports than Red Sox versus Yankees? The latest reincarnation got under way on Friday and concludes tonight at Fenway Park, where Derek Jeter and the Yanks put the finishing touches on the AL East title last season by sweeping a five-game set in August. 9 p.m. on NBC The Apprentice: Los Angeles: Forget the boardroom. The Donald does it up big for this season's finale of his reality show, commandeering the Hollywood Bowl as the setting for the big announcement. Monday 8 p.m. on NBC Heroes: With helpers like these, who needs enemies? In this new episode, the murderous Sylar (Zachary Quinto) lends Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) a "hand" in finding more people with powers, then goes on to confront two of the heroes. Tuesday 8 p.m. on NBC Law & Order: Criminal Intent: Fans of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" might find themselves a little Twilight Zoned by this episode, which guest stars Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Dawn, as a character named Willow. This Willow isn't a lesbian witch but a popular Internet video blogger. Wednesday 9 p.m. on NBC Medium: Allison (Patricia Arquette) is chilling, but not in a good way. She keeps dreaming about being out in the snow, a dream that leads her to the body of a young woman. Joe (Jake Weber) goes back to work for the first time since the shooting, although, understandably, he's still rattled. |
