'Splash Pad' reopens this weekend in Navarre

The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announced the reopening of the "splash pad" a popular seasonal attraction at the John Duncan Memorial Children's Park, located at the Navarre Park at the foot of the Bridge in Navarre.

The Children's Park underwent extensive renovations last year, with additional equipment to accommodate children of all ages, including the "splash pad" where kids can cool off in a water-based play area.

The upgrades, including recently added fencing for safety, were made possible by the efforts of many community sponsors and ongoing fundraisers by a local women's service group, Beta Sigma Phi.

The playground was renamed last year in memory of the late John Duncan who was a local Realtor, Chamber leader, and park volunteer.
