GB residents get a second chance for free trees Saturday

City residents who didn't get two free trees at the last tree giveaway have another opportunity next Saturday, April 21, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parking lot of the South Santa Rosa Recreation Center, 800 Shoreline Drive. The city will give away one hardwood and one ornamental tree to residents who show proper identification. Hardwood varieties include Live Oak, Bald Cypress and Red Maple. Ornamentals include Crepe Myrtle and Eastern Redbud.

The tree giveaway is designed to aid recovery from the recent hurricanes. Another chance to get free trees will be June 9.
