Santa Rosa Commissioners join property tax debate in Tallahassee

      As state legislators prepare to sever county budgets via property tax reform, local government officials traveled to Tallahassee in late March to minimize the proposed damage.       A new state law causing headaches in nearby Walton County may go into effect in Santa Rosa by December. Senate Bill 360 has been dubbed "Florida's Pay as You Go Plan" by state leaders and was designed to allow state and local governments to catch up and keep up with Florida's expanding economy.
