Pensacola Beach Optimists' Giddy Up Gala coming April 19

Pensacola Beach Optimists are shining up their spurs for their annual fundraiser, which will have a western theme this year.

Entitled the "Giddy Up Gala," the event will be April 19 at Flounder's Restaurant on Pensacola Beach, chaired by club treasurer Dave Sundstrom.

Tickets are $50 each and there is an opportunity to purchase $100 tickets to a raffle with just 11 winners. Them are pretty good odds, partner!

The event is a Pensacola Beach tradition, with a different flair each year. Since Hurricane Ivan, the club has held the fundraisers: Luau & Fiesta! & this year's Giddy Up Gala western theme should provide critical funds for youth projects and the Beach School as in the past, with added pleasure for attendees who have an opportunity to enjoy delicious barbecue, participate in the fabulous Chuck Randle PBOC raffle, sip on delicious happy hour priced beverages, and dance the night away to the musical talents of Tim Spenser.

Admission to the party fundraiser is $50.00 and raffle tickets (need not be present to win) are $100each with $5,000 in cash prizes to be awarded! Only 100 raffle tickets are sold, and 11 winners cash in, with the top grand prize of $2,500 given away at the peak of the raffle.
