COMMUNITY BRIEFS
Council on Aging administering meal programs in Santa Rosa County

Effective April 2, Council on Aging of West Florida is providing meals service for seniors in Santa Rosa County. The nonprofit organization is assuming pre-existing services and plans to expand both the Meals on Wheels and congregate meal programs in the north and south parts of the county. In addition, the council is offering privatepay home delivered meals for those who might not qualify for government funded home delivered meal programs.

"We are excited about the opportunity to expand our quality programs and services into Santa Rosa County and we look forward to adding additional meal routes and congregate meals sites," said John B. Clark, President/CEO of Council on Aging of West Florida. "However, we know that community input is essential to wise expansion, and we are asking the community to let us know how and where we can best serve the seniors of Santa Rosa County."

For more information on meal programs and to provide input on areas of need, please contact Council on Aging of West Florida at 432-1475.
