Dolphins rally to beat Milton
Five-run sixth gives Gulf Breeze 12-7 win

The Gulf Breeze Dolphins needed five runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat Milton 11-7 Friday in Gulf Breeze.
Kameron Brunty doubled twice and drove in five runs, while Brad McGuire hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot in the fourth.
Mark Waghalter got the win in relief of Cody Warford, making his varsity debut. Warford struck out three and walked three in 4 1/3 innings, while Waghalter struck out two and allowed only two hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Milton jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a walk, a double and a groundout. Gulf Breeze cut the deficit in half when McGuire singled, stole second and scored on a wild pitch.
Gulf Breeze took a 5-1 lead in the third inning. Tyler Gross, who went 2-for-3, hit one of his two doubles to lead off the inning. McGuire, who went 2- for-2 and scored three times, drew a walk before Brunty doubled to score them both.
Boomer Harrington was hit by a pitch and scored on an error before T.J. Jordan reached on a fielder's choice and scored on an error.

Milton scored twice in the top of the fourth to get to within one before McGuire's solo shot made it 6-4.
Milton reclaimed the lead with three in the top of the sixth.
Gross doubled to score Ashton Vance, who was hit by a pitch. McGuire and Brandon Scott drew intentional walks to load the bases for Brunty, who doubled to clear the bases.
Harrington, who scored twice, doubled to plate Brunty.
Catholic 6, Dolphins 4 The Crusaders scored twice in a four run fourth inning off close 3-2 pitches with the bases loaded to rally to beat the Dolphins March 20 in Gulf Breeze.
Gulf Breeze took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when McGuire singled and scored on a passed ball before Harrington grounded out to score Brunty.
A hit batter, a throwing error, a wild pitch and a fly out in the top of the second cut the Dolphin lead in half.
McGuire, who went 2-for-4 and scored once, singled to score Vance, who was hit by a pitch.
Gulf Breeze, after giving up four in the fourth and one in the sixth, pulled to within two in the bottom of the seventh.
Brunty, who scored twice, doubled and scored on a double by Jordan.
The Dolphins left 10 runners on in the loss. Gulf Breeze resident Kyle Sarra, who missed the Crusaders' 23-3 win over the Dolphins earlier in the season, drove in a run on one of the bases loaded walks in the fourth.
Greg Tober struck out seven and allowed only four hits for Gulf Breeze, throwing 112 pitches.

Michael Thomas struck out eight in six innings, throwing 114 pitches before Justin Hurd picked up the save, but not before the Wildcats scored twice in the bottom of the seventh March 19 in Pensacola.
Brunty, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, singled with one out in the first to score McGuire, who walked. McGuire scored three times in the win.
Gulf Breeze added three more runs in the third inning. After McGuire walked and scored on an error, Harrington and Jordan hit run scoring doubles with two outs.
The Wildcats scored singles runs in the fourth and sixth innings before Gulf Breeze added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh.
Harrington, who went 2-for- 4, singled with two outs to score both McGuire and Scott, who had both singled with two outs.
Dolphin JV 16,Washington 1
Tyler Boylan had three hits and scored twice, while Patrick Vance and Kris Matsoukas went 2-for-4 and scored once as the Dolphins blew open a close game with 13 runs in the final two innings March 19.
Corey Downs, Kyle Schnackenberg and Warford all scored twice, while Alex Ball threw five innings of two-hit ball to get the win.
Dolphin JV 13, Catholic 5
Gulf Breeze, after taking a 5-0 first inning lead, broke a 5-5 tie with eight in the bottom of the fifth.
Warford went 4-for-4 with a triple and scored three times, while Downs, Matsoukas, Boylan and Daniel Shull all had two hits each.
Caleb Brown scored twice for the Dolphins, while Bryant Cobb doubled and scored twice for the Crusaders.
