Clarice Bernadine (Ward) Mellor

Clarice Bernadine Mellor, 84, formerly of Milton, currently of Panama City, Fla., passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Bay Medical Center. Bernadine was born and raised in Bruce, Fla. Upon completion of 10th grade, she married Roy T. Mellor on Dec. 18, 1942. She started out as a waitress, then worked for civil service as an aircraft mechanic through World War II. She raised a son and daughter, became a nurse for several years, retired and became a seamstress for many years. She loved to fish, swim, bowl and shop. She loved to prepare large meals for homecomings. At the age of 79, she completed several computer courses.

She is survived by her son, Dale S. Mellor; daughter, Paula N. Gatewood; grandchildren, Dale S. Mellor Jr., David W. Mellor, Dawn A. Mellor, Daniel C. Mellor, Rachel C. Simms. Jessica E. Long and Ashley D. Gatewood; and great-grandchildren, Alexander Mellor, Christopher Mellor, Deven M. Simms, Ryan C. Simms, James E. Long, Dakota R. Robbins, Winter N. Robbins an Autum L. Robbins. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Rose Lawn Chapel.

Burial was at Barrancas National Cemetery.
