Trauma drama
Gulf Breeze Hospital played a part in a biohazard disaster drill Thursday, March 22. Staffers had to respond to a credible threat that "occurred" at the Baptist Medical Park. A makeshift response unit was set up for the affected victims, who were first sprayed with a fire hose to remove any contaminants. Above, Bill Parsons, 18, a student at Gulf Breeze High School, gives the staffers a victim for practice purposes. The drill was performed by Burgess and Associates, or Hot Zone USA.
