Festival on the Green at UWF this weekend

The University of West Florida will hold its annual Festival on the Green event March 30 and 31 on the UWF Main Campus. Events will include an alumni jazz brunch and awards celebration, Time Portal to the Past, three stages, a dog sports exhibition, a children's festival, library book sale, a fine arts show, a university showcase, a crafts fair and festival food. New events this year will include "Strut your Mutt," a Humane Society and Jury Duty fundraiser, and a classic car showcase, featuring approximately 25 classic cars, some dating back to the 1920s, exhibited by the Panhandle Cruisers.

Off the Green events include the annual Student Art Exhibit, USA Volleyball Gulf Coast Region Bid Championships, NCAA tennis matches and softball and baseball games.

The Kathleen T. and Philip B. Phillips, M.D. Jazz Piano Competition will return this year as the festival's main event. Last year, the festival attracted approximately 20,495 visitors.

Pensacola JazzFest this weekend

The 24th annual Pensacola JazzFest, a free jazz festival, will be held the weekend of March 31-April 1 in Seville Square in historic downtown Pensacola. This annual spring event is administered by the Jazz Society of Pensacola in association with the Arts Council of Northwest Florida and radio station WUWF-FM.

GraceFest announces lineup

On April 14th GraceFest will come alive at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds. GraceFest will feature top Christian artists such as Big Daddy Weave, Salvador, Newsboys, Kutless, and Stellar Kart. $10.00 advanced tickets are on sale now at www.GraceFest.org or at local Christian book stores.

GraceMusic, the sponsoring company, is a Florida not-forprofit corporation and a 501c3 tax exempt organization. GraceMusic was created for the specific purpose of holding an annual Christian music festival.

GraceFest occurs without any paid staff. This unique Christian event is founded and created by over 150 Christian volunteers in the Pensacola area. This giving group of volunteers attend over 40 churches representing 12 denominations. Total event volunteers exceed 750 people.
