Kaps for kids registration deadline is April 1
Kaps for Kids event will benefit Ronald McDonald House

Looking for a way to support the Ronald McDonald House that costs your business, church or civic organization nothing?

Kaps for Kids is a fantastic casual day event where individuals receive casual day attire as a thank you for their donations of $12-$25! Employers just have to designate Wednesday, May 9 as Kaps for Kids Day and allow everyone to wear their new shirts, hats or visors to work! Orders are due April 1st and money is due on April 19th.

As a thank you, all participants are invited to a pre-event party on Wednesday, May 2 at Bamboo Willie's where you can pick up your group's order, drink free beer and eat great food! Banana Republic will be performing from 5-9 pm, so bring your dancing shoes!

The Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida has been successfully serving families since 1984 and is 100 percent

funded by community donations.

Ronald McDonald House provided a Home-Away-From- Home for over 15,000 children and their family members while their child is being treated in a Pensacola hospital.

Join the 2007 Kaps for Kids campaign today. For more information about this and other events at the Ronald McDonald House, please contact Priscilla Hataway at 477-2273 or Priscilla@rmhpensacola.org.

Tobacco exec's son at NAS for 'breathe life' March 27

Patrick Reynolds, grandson of tobacco giant RJ Reynolds turned national advocate for a smoke-free society. will appear Tuesday, March 27 (the eve of National Kick Butts Day) to urge NAS students and sailors to stop smoking.

During this event, which reflects Health First Network's commitment to helping build a healthy community with a focus on children, Mr. Reynolds will open with the story of his father RJ Reynolds' death from smoking. He will discuss tobacco's addictiveness, cigarette advertising, and smoking in films. He will close with a message of hope, counteracting the unreported worry many of today's youth feel over terrorism, global warming, AIDS, and other problems. By boosting their faith in the years ahead, Reynolds aims to motivate youth to stay tobacco and drug free.
