Property taxes are subject of Monday Town Hall meeting
Two similar homes on the same street may be taxed completely differently, and the Santa Rosa Property Appraiser wants to tell you why.

Greg Brown, Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser, will conduct a Town Hall Meeting 7 p.m. Monday, March 26 in Gulf Breeze at the Rec Center on Shoreline Drive.

Topics include:

* The Save Our Homes Amendment,

* How property tax works, * The functions of the property appraiser,

* How property is valued,

* The proposed property tax amendments lawmakers are considering in Tallahassee,

* the 100 percent after the hurricane rule, and much more. He will also be available to answer questions from the audience.

This is the first ever Town Hall conducted by a Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser.
