Dolphin track team lose dual meet to Navarre

Jason Thompson/Gulf Breeze News Zach Permenter won the pole vault for the Dolphins in a meet last week in Navarre, the second time he's won the event this season.
The Gulf Breeze High track teams hosted Navarre in a dual meet March 7. The boys lost 107-35, while the girls lost 122-19.

Scoring points for the boys team were as follows:

Shot put - 1) Zach Permenter (38-0).

High jump - 1) Dustin Clements (5-6).

Triple jump - 3) Tyler Williams (35-5).

110 meter hurdles - 3) David Sever (19.89), 4) Alex Duntz (19.89).

100 meter dash - 2) Erik Mims (12.19).

1600 meter run - 3) Sean Seales (4:58).

400 meter dash - 1) Sam Grooms (54.89).

300 meter hurdles - 3) Stuart Williams (45.23).

800 meter run - 2) Will Thomas (2:12.02), 3) Tommy Gibble (2:12.97).

3200 meter run - 2) Geoffrey Brill (10:44), 3) Seales (10:59).

Scoring points for the girls team were as follows:

Discus - 2) Ann Marie Chilton (90-.5).

Shot put - 1) Tobie Bass (32-6), 2) Chilton (27-10).

High jump - 3) Dana Teschel (4-10).

Triple jump - 3) Emily Tryon (30-0).

100 meter dash - 3) Emily Dixon (14.29).

3200 meter run - 1) Emily Tryon (12:13).

The track teams' next meet is a tri-meet March 22 against Milton and Navarre. The Dolphins and Lady Dolphins will then compete in the Vince Whibbs Invitational the following day at the University of West Florida.
