Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts this month

Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc. and the City of Gulf Breeze will Celebrate the Arts in their 13th annual Fine Arts Festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25 come rain or shine at the Gulf Breeze High School parking lot on Highway 98. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking.

There will be 125 fine art artists from Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Minnesota, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Florida as well as local artists. Award winning artists from 2006 are returning. Judge for the outside show is Sid Kamerman.

Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc. will be having their annual members¹ show inside the band room. Joan Blackburn is the judge for this show.

T-shirts with the Festival logo, designed by Betty Shoopman, will be on sale for $15 with all proceeds going to the Scholarship Fund.

Also adding to the Endowed Scholarship at PJC will be 10 percent of the Sponsor Purchase Awards. Any business or patron who plans on buying art can help the scholarship fund by doing a Purchase Award. Those interested should contact Frances Hanson-Grow at 516- 7505.

Students from grades K-12 will be participating in the annual Student Art Show. There is also the Children¹s Hands-on- Area for kids to do printing, face painting, clay work, rubber stamping and hat making.
