Dolphin lifters win opener

Gulf Breeze won eight of 10 weight classes Monday to win their season opening meet with Woodham. GBHS won 61-29.

In the 119 pound class, Chris Barretta won with a total of 320 pounds lifted (120 bench, 100 clean and jerk). Brent Stanhagen was fourth (80/80 - 160). The top three places scored points for their respective schools.

Seth Hewerdine won the 129 lb. class (175/155 - 330), while Phillip Hoffman was second (160/150 - 310).

Tanner Eagley won the 139 lb. class (205/185 - 390), while Stephen Schmitz was fourth (155/155 - 310).

John Nieberlein was second in the 154 lb. class (225/185 - 410), while Hiro Kawahara was fourth (210/0 - 210).

Erik Mims won the 169 lb. class (260/215 - 475), while Mike Tugwell was second (250/215 - 465).

Jonathon Stephons won the 183 lb. class (255/220 - 475), while Jimmy Beyers was second (245/230 - 475). The tie was broken by lowest body weight.

Jacob Duggar was second in the 199 lb. class (225/200 - 425), while Sean Zaleski was third (200/195 - 395).

Jacob Burks won the 219 lb. class (235/235 - 470), while Chad Mattair was second (260/190 - 450).

Pat King won the 238 lb. class (370/245 - 615), while Nathan Stout was third (245/245 - 490).

Eric Agricola won the heavyweight class (315/255 - 570), while Scott Mitchell was third (235/235 - 470).
