Gulf Breeze Pizza Hut opening this month

Almost three years after Hurricane Ivan demolished the Tiger Point restaurant, the owners of the franchise are planning to open another Pizza Hut, this time in Gulf Breeze.

Marvetta Hawk, spokesperson for the franchisee, said the restaurant will open in mid- March as a carryout and delivery store front.

"We're so excited. We've been out of (Gulf Breeze) a long time and we're just as anxious to be back as the public is for us to be there," Hawk said.

The new Pizza Hut will be located in Live Oak Plaza, between Office Depot and the movie theatre.

Hawk said the former Pizza Hut location was sold back to the owner of the shopping center where it is located.
