St. Paul youths travel to 'Melt Down'

Submitted Photo The Saint Paul United Methodist Church youth group joined 1,500 area middle and high school-age students to participate in "Melt Down" in Panama City from Feb. 2-4. The event combined music, worship, fellowship and fun. Pictured above is Saint Paul's group before heading to the weekend event.
Local middle and high school students from Saint Paul United Methodist Church of Gulf Breeze joined an additional 1,500 youth at "Melt Down," an event with faithbased speakers, praise music and fellowship, in Panama City Beach the weekend of Feb. 2 through 4.

Saint Paul Youth Advisory Team Leader David Penn reports, "We thought we might show what some local youth from our general area are doing with their time and efforts."

Penn said despite the plethora of local youth that attended the event, it was an all-ages effort.

"[It was] a real positive influence and growth opportunity for youth as well as adults," said Penn.
