Dolphin wrestlers compete at regional meet
Eight of 11 win at least one match

Eleven members of the Dolphin wrestling team competed in the Region 1-A meet Saturday at Palm Coast Mantanzas High School.

Eight of the 11 won at least one match, with four winning two. But none were able to place in the top four of their weight class to qualify for today's state meet in Lakeland.

The following is a rundown of each wrestler and how they fared:

119 Stephen Houser

was pinned by Riley Saora (Episcopal) at 0:59; was pinned by Robert Drummond (Pedro Menendez) at 1:52

125 Jake Wilson

lost a decision to Jarrod Hoover (St Augustine) 6-8; pinned Carson McKenzie (Episcopal) at 1:2; won by decision over Jeris Campbell (Andrew Jackson) 13-10; was pinned by Tyler Morgan (Arnold) at 0:54

130 Will Boykin

was pinned by Luke Grautham (Suwannee) at 1:16; was pinned by Bret McKee (Stanton) at 2:46

135 Tanner Eagley

pinned Brad Wilson (Episcopal) at 0:37; pinned Shane Dennis (Matanzas) at 0:30; lost a decision to John Hamilton (Bishop Kenny) 5-15; was pinned by Trevor Wright (Arnold) at 4:45
